WHAT IS THE POINTCAB LSDSDK CAPABLE OF?
Our LSDSDK offers the possibility to import, process, convert, and export a number of open, proprietary, and of course our own .lsd format.
We are aware that different software manufacturers have different needs, so we have decided to divide our LSDSDK into four different modules:
Write, Read, Convert, and Export.
Of course, you can also combine different modules according to your needs.
WRITE MODUL
We provide our write module FREE of charge. By implementing the SDK you can write and export our highly compressed .lsd format.

LSD FORMAT TEST
If you decide to use our free write module, you and your customers can take advantage of the high compression of our .lsd format. In our test (see table on the right) we converted a point cloud project with 78 color scans into common open point cloud data. Result: No other format has as high compression as our .lsd format.
This makes our .lsd format the ideal format for data storage. Your customers will be thankful for it!
READ MODUL
Our Read module allows you to read PointCab projects in our .lsd format. In combination with the write module, it offers the perfect workflow for joint clients.

LSD FORMAT TEST
In our test (see table on the right) we converted a point cloud project with 78 coloured scans into common open point cloud formats and then imported it. Result: Point cloud projects in .lsd format can be read much faster compared to most other formats.
CONVERT MODUL
With the convert module we offer you the possibility to read a range of open and proprierary point cloud formats into your software and convert it for further processing.

LSD FORMAT TEST
In addition to importing a variety of point cloud formats, our converter module also provides you with our PointCab importer. It converts the data in no time thanks to simultaneously running converters.
In our test (see table on the right) we imported a point cloud project with 78 colored scans in .fls raw format into different software solutions. As you can see, the PointCab Importer works much faster than other solutions.
EXPORT MODUL
With the export module you can export your used format to other open and proprierary point cloud formats.
