POINTCAB 4BIMm (ARCHICAD) PLUGIN
The BIMm Tool for Archicad in combination with our Origins software offers one of the easiest workflows for modeling point clouds in Archicad. It is developed, distributed and supported by our partner BIMm Solutions.
In the tutorials below we explain in detail how you can use the individual functions of the BIMm Tool to your advantage. Of course, the quickest way to learn is to work directly in the program.
BIMm TOOL (ARCHICAD) & ORIGINS – AN OVERVIEW
Before we show you how to use the BIMm Tool & Origins to model point clouds in Archicad, we would like to give you a brief overview of what your plugin has in store for you.
CREATE FLOOR HEIGHTS IN ARCHICAD
Define all floors in your project in three easy steps with Origins and the BIMm Tool in ArchiCAD. In the video we present the complete workflow for defining the floors with the help of the semi-automatic vectorization tool. The point cloud remains in PointCab Origins.
CREATE WINDOWS AND DOORS IN ARCHICAD
With the BIMm Tool , you now have an automated workflow that saves you time when creating various components in your model. With just a few clicks, you can transfer windows and doors to ArchiCAD in real time. See how easy it is in the following video!
CREATE FLOORS AND CEILINGS IN ARCHICAD
You can create floors and ceilings in ArchiCAD without extensive preparation. The point cloud remains in Origins. You only work with the 3D point tool in Origins and the corresponding tools provided by the BIMm Tool. The BIMm Tool takes over the transfer of the correct positions. In just a few minutes, you can create all the floors and ceilings in your CAD model and then move on to the next task.
CREATE COLUMNS AND BEAMS IN ARCHICAD
With a few clicks you can transfer correct 3D information of columns and beams directly, in real time to ArchiCAD. The BIMm Tool enables an efficient and precise workflow. You can measure the strength of each column using Origins sections and planar views.
CREATE ANY OBJECTS IN ARCHICAD
Transfer all types of components from Origins to ArchiCAD. The elements take the right position in your model thanks to the connection through the BIMm Tool. Depending on the object you need to create, you only need a few clicks to get a correct result in your BIM model.
