									<p>In den USA werden für solche Jobs oft die Profis von <a href="https://www.seilerinst.com/">Seiler Instrument</a> herangezogen, genauer gesagt Seiler’s Planetarium Division. Seiler Mitarbeiter Howard George hat dafür bisher eine Kombination aus manuellen Messungen und einer Totalstation eingesetzt &#8211; ein sehr zeitaufwändiger Prozess. Um den Prozess zu beschleunigen und zu vereinfachen, wurde deshalb erstmals Laserscanning und die Punktwolkensoftware von PointCab eingesetzt.</p>								</div>

									<p><span style="color: var( --e-global-color-text ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), m;">Der erste Schritt dabei war die Implementierung eines handgeführten GeoSLAM ZEB Revo RT LiDAR-Scanners, der 3D-Punktwolken buchstäblich in Minutenschnelle erstellt. Dann bestand die Herausforderung darin, die Geometrie und die Merkmale effizient zu extrahieren, um BIM-Modelle der Räume zu erstellen und den Projektbeteiligten die Designabsicht besser zu vermitteln.&nbsp;</span>Um dies zu erreichen, wurde Howard eine Testversion von PointCab 3D Pro (jetzt Origins Pro) zur Verfügung gestellt. Dabei handelt es sich um ein einfach zu bedienende Software zur Bearbeitung und Weitergabe von Punktwolken, das vom Design Solutions Team bei Seiler empfohlen wurde. Howard meint dazu: &#8222;In nicht-orthogonalen Bereichen wie Planetarien kann ich mit der PointCab-Software Datenpunkte frei kippen, drehen und vergrößern, sowie Perspektiven ausrichten.&#8220; Dank der Unterstützung durch des PointCab- und Revit-Support, sowie Online-Ressourcen konnte Howard auch als Neuling innerhalb weniger Tage dank dem PointCab 4Revit Plugin mit der Modellierung aus der Punktwolke beginnen. Dies ermöglichte ihm, die Platzierung der Projektoren im Ist-Zustand zu simulieren und schnell vektorisierte CAD-Schemata des Raums und Installationsdetails zu erstellen. Er war begeistert: &#8222;Mit der PointCab-Software muss ich den Projektbeteiligten viel weniger erklären und kann alles direkt visuell darstellen.&#8220;&nbsp;</p>								</div>

									<p>Die leistungsstarke Kombination aus LiDAR-Scantechnologie und PointCab Origins Pro hat den Zeitplan und die Kundenerfahrung in Bezug auf diese komplexen Projektorinstallationen tiefgreifend beeinflusst. Howard sagt: &#8222;Ich erhalte von ZEISS metrische Kugelkoordinaten, um die Projektoren im Verhältnis zur Kuppel zu platzieren. In PointCab Origins Pro exportiere ich kartesische imperiale Koordinaten, um die Projektorständer auf dem Boden zu platzieren. Dann exportiert mir die PointCab-Software 2D-Bilder von 3D-Räumen. Die Datenweitergabe über PointCab Share (Freeware) oder die Bildschirmfreigabe über Zoom ermöglicht es mir, alle Beteiligten an den einzelnen Arbeitsschritten teilhaben zu lassen und im Detail aufzuzeigen, was gerade von Interesse ist.&#8220; In nur einer Woche wurden so wesentliche, aber sehr zeitaufwändige Aufgaben radikal reduziert und zum Besseren für alle Projektbeteiligten verändert. Das Gebäude im postmodernen Stil liegt an den steilen Ufern des River Wear und ist direkt mit der ikonischen Kingsgate Bridge verbunden.<br /><br data-start="714" data-end="717" />Mit seinem Sichtbeton, den terrassenartigen Ebenen und der vielschichtigen Dachlandschaft ist Dunelm House architektonisch besonders – und gleichzeitig schwer zu vermessen.</p><p data-start="891" data-end="1173">Als im Laufe der Jahre an mehreren Stellen undichte Stellen im Dach auftraten, benötigte die Universität eine präzise Bestandsdokumentation. Die anstehende Sanierung sollte sauber geplant werden können. Dafür war eine hochgenaue 3D-Vermessung des Gebäudes und des umliegenden Geländes erforderlich.</p>								</div>

Zum Einsatz kamen zwei FARO Focus3D-Laserscanner. Ergänzend nutzte das Team <strong data-start="1974" data-end="1988">Tachymeter</strong> und <strong data-start="1993" data-end="2007">GPS-Geräte</strong>, um die Topografie zu erfassen und die Daten präzise zu georeferenzieren.</p><p data-start="2083" data-end="2120">Auf diese Weise erfassten sie:</p><ul data-start="2122" data-end="2280"><li data-start="2122" data-end="2162"><p data-start="2124" data-end="2162">die gesamte Außenhülle des Gebäudes,</p></li><li data-start="2163" data-end="2221"><p data-start="2165" data-end="2221">die vielschichtige und unregelmäßige Dachkonstruktion,</p></li><li data-start="2222" data-end="2280"><p data-start="2224" data-end="2280">sowie das stark geneigte Gelände rund um den River Wear.</p></li></ul><p data-start="2282" data-end="2397">Das Ergebnis war eine hochauflösende Punktwolke, die das komplette Gebäude und seine Umgebung detailliert abbildet.</p>								</div>
